April 1999, Press Release #3

Major new version of Studio Suite facility management software released.

Version 4 - some screens

Studio Suite, the comprehensive studio management software package already in use in 20 countries and on six continents, has been updated to Version 4, taking the suite of intuitive and invaluable tools to a new level of flexibility.

Designed, written and supported by a team implicitly familiar with the logistics of running a busy and successful studio facility, Studio Suite Version 4 provides studio management and staff with the tools to run a professional, efficient studio.

Studio Suite has been designed from the ground up to revolutionise the management of recording/mastering/project/video post-production studios and production companies. The package allows users to seamlessly book, co-ordinate and invoice for studios and personnel, manage equipment maintenance and inventories, track tapes and other media, produce track and recall sheets (Studio Suite includes over 130 standard recall sheets), amongst many other invaluable and useful facilities. The 20 modules organise, manage, and simplify the complex environment of large, multi-room facilities at a home-studio price.

Studios of all types and sizes can benefit from the same all-inclusive software and European facilities already using Version 4 include The Dairy, Sawmills and Roll Over Studios.

Studio Suite can be networked across Mac and PC platforms, is password protectable, Y2K ready and contains a built-in spell checker. Studio logos and information can be entered to automatically generate letterheads and return-address information on all printouts (Invoices, Letters, Envelopes, Tape Labels, etc.).

Studio Suite is an AlterMedia Inc. product, available from and supported in the UK and Europe by Ingenium Ltd.

Ingenium services the unique IT requirements of the facilities industry, providing impartial and considered advice on computing hardware and software solutions specifically tailored for Music and A/V studio applications.

Ingenium Ltd, providers of specialist IT services and advice to the European Pro-Audio and Video industry, is proud to announce an agreement with AlterMedia Inc. (USA) to distribute their studio management software products, including the phenomenally successful Studio Suite, in Europe.

The new agreement, sealed at the beginning of 1999, strengthens Ingenium's comprehensive portfolio of specialist IT services and products and provides AlterMedia Inc. with a solid European sales and support organisation, serving an ever expanding European customer base and providing invaluable local industry knowledge.

Ingenium Ltd's Managing Director Nick Price: "The timing of our agreement couldn't be more perfect; our European clients have been crying out for an application that simply and effectively handles the complex issues of studio facility management/administration. Studio Suite is most definitely the best, out-performing the competition hands down. AlterMedia's products compliment the requirements of our clients and our existing computing services so perfectly that I couldn't have hoped for a better alliance."

AlterMedia Inc.'s CEO and founder Joel Stoner: "We're delighted to have Ingenium on board. Typical 'software distributors' don't provide technical service and support, but Ingenium is focused exclusively on that very role in the pro audio/video industry - the Studio Suite market. Ingenium will be a great partner for AlterMedia and our customers."

October 1998, Press Release #1

Announcing the formation of a new industry company, Ingenium Limited, specialising in the information and computing technology requirements of the European Music and A/V studio industry.

Based in London, Ingenium Limited has been established to service the unique IT requirements of the European facilities industry, and provides impartial and considered advice on computing hardware and software solutions specifically tailored for Music and A/V studios.

In recent years, sectors of the media industry have benefited extensively from the computerisation of their information systems, improving the effectiveness and efficiency of their organisations by orders of magnitude. Studio production facilities are no exception in their need for IT and office automation, but as a result of the cutting edge nature of the studio sector, often have very different and specialised requirements. Ingenium is perhaps the first company of its kind to address this specific requirement.

Managing Director Nick Price: "Like studio technology, computing and software technology moves at an incredible pace and the breadth and power of the tools currently available is remarkable, if only studios had more time to investigate, implement and benefit from them. Researching the ideas behind Ingenium, we found that many facilities are literally swamped by their current administrative systems and that this impacts directly on their ability to spend valuable time on the support of their existing customers and on the marketing of their facility, which in turn, affects their business potential and income".

Ingenium's understanding of the fundamental logistics of the industry, which draws on over a decade of personal experience, and of a wide range of information technology, allows the company to provide amongst the most effective and carefully tailored computing solutions available to the studio industry.

Managing Director Nick Price: "I want to ensure that the services we provide not only fulfil our clients requirements, but also that as a company, we're accessible and objective. Our experience of client goals and the studio industry itself allows us a unique understanding of what it is that our clients want and need to achieve, and importantly, how best to achieve them".

Ingenium's services include the design and specification of computer, software and network solutions, installation and customer training and support. Full details are available at the new Ingenium web site www.ingenium-ltd.co.uk.

Ingenium's goal is to revolutionise the day to day running of studio facilities. By providing studio management and staff with the technology and support solutions required to run a professional and efficient studio, Ingenium's clients can not only improve the level of service they provide to their existing customers, but also, increase the time available to them to concentrate on the business of attracting new customers and operating a respected and profitable facility.

Nick Price has worked in the studio and music industry since the late eighties, as Technical Manager for London's The Strongroom and Church Studios, as Projects Manager for Harris Grant Associates, Discrete Systems and Coastal Acoustics and most recently, as European Service Manager for console manufacturer Euphonix. He left Euphonix to start Ingenium.
